This is a brief description of each committee. If you are interested in becoming involved with a committee, please contact the appropriate chairperson.
EDUCATION
The goal of the Education / Programs committee is to increase professional knowledge and skills of members. You will be involved in providing monthly educational, informative and entertaining programs. The committee strives to strengthen and diversify programs by developing activities targeted to specific segments of professionalism (assistant/coordinator, manager/ director and principal/owner) in A/E/C firms.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
The goal of the Public Relations committee is to enhance value and awareness of programs and SMPS. You will be involved in producing press releases, meeting notices, the local chapter newsletter, and local web site.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The goal of the Professional Development committee is to provide or create networking and educational opportunities. You will help in developing and sponsoring continuing education and professional development seminars. This committee strives to strengthen relationships with peer and industry organization.

MEMBERSHIP
The goal of the Membership committee is to maintain membership through retention programs. This committee strives to increase chapter membership and its diversity, and increase opportunities for member involvement. The Membership committee also coordinates publication of the SMPS membership directory. This committee also maintains the job bank.
